A total of 199 persons wanted for administrative and financial corruption have been arrested in 2010, the Basra police chief said on Monday.

BASRA, Iraq (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A total of 199 persons wanted for administrative and financial corruption have been arrested in 2010, the Basra police chief said on Monday.

“Basra police, in coordination with the Integrity Commission, arrested 199 persons wanted for administrative and financial corruption during 2010,” General Aadel Daham Kamel told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He did not give more details.

Basra is 590 km south of Baghdad.
